College band

When Finn started at Fredericia Gymnasium he formed a college band.
Finn has digged into the past and can now disclose that Finn had big succes when he played at various college parties, often for several hundreds of young crowd. It encourages Finn to form a band with other students with no name - it was the band of this college.

Finn already the first semester meet a lot of wonderful people. Amongs the musican was Burger Billy on drums, Willy Vap on bass, Peter on sax, Erik on guitar, Paul also played guitar.

The band singer, Mardee, an american lead vocalist with a broadway musical background.
Mardee was an exchange student for USA. She used to be a local musical in USA. She could really shake her bare shoulder, swing the microphone and hit all the high right notes.

Finn played a juicy acid like fuzz guitar with a lot of sustained distortion. He used to borrow a SG Gibson from Paul both for practice and for college gigs. Finn nick name was Johnny B. Good. Often the crowd went wild for more.

Background for the college band
Fredericia is a quite small city, but it had a great music underground inspired of all kind of national and international music scene. People went to all possible places to listen to all the great musicians in New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angelos and Copenhagen. The big International groups was Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Gong, Frank Zappa, Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple just to mention a few of the rock groups. But also folk, jazz, blues, classic music, funk, punk, reaggae. It was a real meting pot of all kind of people and styles.

Finn also played on a local not any longer existing pub "Stoppestedet" mostly just for the free beer. Finn meet at a lot people here, intellectuals, writers, politicial activists, musicians and artists. He met for example Sander a sculptorist from Hungary. Sander and Finn exhibited once in the local central exhibition centre. Sander has some fantastic sculptures in stone and Finn exhibited a serie disclosing "the lady in blue".  Sanders stones had a really nice quality - you could touch the stone and you would not believe how soft a cold stone could feel like.

The band also played in an few other locations as the Fredericia Teater, Fredericia Hallen, various schools as Bakkeskolen, skansevejens skole and Treldevejen skole.
